Have you ever been driving through the country at night and out of the blue you managed to pick up a radio station that was on the other side of the continent? Weird right? That’s the magic of sound waves – as they bounce and skip off the ionosphere. The World AM/FM/SW Radio allows you to pick up those waves regularly and clearly!

Imagine Grandma being able to listen to a radio station back in Italy..Imagine camping out under the stars and picking up a live broadcast of English football?! The World AM/FM/SW radio offers all three signals – AM and FM plus three short wave stations ranging from 1711kHz to 29999kHz allowing you to tune in to international broadcasts.

The unit features analogue tuning assisted by digital display and a tuning step allowing you to scroll quickly or slowly for fine adjustment, large backlit LCD displaying clock, battery level and signal strength indicator. High performance IC’s and MOSFET’s – we’re not sure what they stand for – but they mean high sensitivity, strong anti-interference and low background noise and distortion.

With a total of 50 presets (10 presets for each band), it also features alarm function, snooze button and button lock and can be powered using 6 x D batteries (not included) or the 9V PSU supplied. If you don’t have any D size batteries on-hand, the kit includes 6 x D size battery adaptors so you can use AA batteries instead.
